We are recruiting to fill the following position:

Title Title: Assistant Fitter

Job Location: Onne, Nigeria

Role Summary/Purpose:
The role of Assistant Fitter is to inspect, disassemble, assemble, maintain and function test GE Subea Tooling to global services standard adhering to all shop work pack procedures, quality and HSE policies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the tool inspection, disassembly, assembly and testing of company Rental tooling as specified in shop work packs under supervision
  • Ensure accurate sign off of shop work packs for full quality control of work carried out under supervision
  • Produce quality goods on time as stipulated in shop work pack
  • Responsible for ensuring that area of work is maintained hazard free and tidy
  • Engage actively in continual improvements for safety and throughput from Rental Tool shop
  • Participate and co-operate with risk assessments when requested. Notify supervisor of any risks immediately


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Time served qualification to a mechanical discipline
  • High level of HSE awareness with certification in slinging and lifting, pressure testing, manual handling
  • Minimum of 2 years cognate experience within Oil & Gas industry
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-disciplined,with the capacity to work to written procedures
  • Ability to work well on their own as well as part of a team

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
