Human Capital Partners - Our client is a new hospital located in Okija, Anambra State, Nigeria, built and equipped according to world-class international standards and being developed to be one of the world's foremost pediatric health-care institutions.
We are recruiting to fill the following position:
Job Title: Staff Nurse Paediatrics
Ref: OH006
Job Location: Okija, Anambra State
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ward management, as well as providing and maintaining the highest possible standard of nursing care.
- An intrinsic part of this will be to assess, develop and implement a patient care plan, evaluate care given and ensure proper documentation.
- Reports to the Head of Nursing Services
- Monitor and report on patients' condition to the medical staff and ensure prescribed treatments are carried out and ensure all members of health care team are kept informed of the changing needs of the patient.
- Give and receive accurate patient-centered handovers.
- Assess, develop and implement patient care plan and evaluating care given, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of relevant patient/ care policies and procedures, with particular reference to safe handling of patients.
Required Qualification and Competencies
- Candidates must have dual qualifications: NRN & NRM.
- Possession of BSc or Health related management studies will be an advantage
- First Level Registration of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
- 3 years post registration experience
- First Level Registration qualification within Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit or Accident and Emergency.
- Demonstrable experience in care of neonates, children and critical care in Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit or Accident and Emergency.
- Proven ability to respond to Hospital emergencies and work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal, written interpersonal and communication skills
