Action Against Hunger (ACF) -USA is part of the ACF-International Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.

The listed vacancies do NOT entail any relocation compensation and priority will be given to locally-based candidates for all areas.

ACF Nigeria is looking for suitable candidates for the vacant position:

Job Title: State Technical Advisor

Job Location: Damaturu, Yobe

Duration of Contract: 1 year

Purpose:

  • The State TA as the first level of supervisory support for the Working to Improve Nutrition in Northern Nigeria (WINNN) program team, a joint project being implemented by Save the Children, ACF and UNICEF, since 2011.
  • This position carries the WINNN team responsibility for providing technical support to the State in all areas of nutrition program implementation (CMAM, IYCF, MNCHWs and Capacity building) including coordination and monitoring.


Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science with a major in Nutrition or Bachelor of Nutrition.
  • Background with 3+ years of managing health/nutrition related programs;
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, planning, financial/resource and personnel management
  • Ability to set priorities, create and monitor work plans, evaluate program progress; strong computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively with high-level government partners and other stakeholders;
  • Able to build capacity in others and share expertise.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Sphere standard, SPSS, SMART Fluency in Hausa and English.
