Job Description
- Responsible for overall Finance and Accounting activities of the company and their Subsidiaries
- Support and supervise junior accounting staff to ensure the effective operation of the finance and accounts departments
- Ensure that the financial policies /procedures of the company are implemented Efficiently and in line with generally accepted accounting practices (NASB & IFRS)
- Spearhead the conversion to IFRS
- Manage the bank and treasury processes of the company
- Institute adequate financial control systems and processes to secure the assets and Efficient operation of the organization
- Develop key financial processes including budgeting, management & financial Accounting/reporting
- Daily management accounts
- Monthly management reports and analyses
- Monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and variation reporting
Qualifications
- Must hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA)
- Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC relevant professional experience in accounting or audit related functions with a Capital Markets Operator or Financial Institution
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Must have excellent hands-on experience with at least one Accounting package and MS Office Suite
- Must exhibit good organizational and communication skills with excellent command of spoken and written English
- Must be a team player
