Job Title: General Manager Logistics and Freight Forwarding Operations
Job Location: Lagos
Job Description
Managing day to day operations (predominantly Projects, Ocean Freight and Air Freight)
Improve communications within the company
Improve processes including document handling
Hold P&L responsibility within the country
Develop, set and follow up on targets and KPI’s of all departments
Develop, implement mid and long term strategies
Manage and direct business development activities of the company
Work closely with senior management of company
Close sales transactions in the tune of Millions of Dollars
Personal Requirements:
Must have a strong background within the Projects and Freight Forwarding market
Previous experience within a similar role is desirable.
Minimum of 12 years experience in Logistics and Freight Forwarding.
You must be driven, ambitious and energetic
You must be Profit Orientated
Knowledge of the South African market is a must
Qualifications
A good first degree in Logistics and transport with MBA.
Ability to interpret accounting books is key.
