We are recrutiing to fill the position of:
Job Title: Hook-Up Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor
Job Location: Lagos and Rivers
Description of the SERVICE:
- The SERVICES are required offshore on a 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, back-to-back basis (i.e., two designees on a rotational back-to-back basis).
- The SERVICE consists:
- To ensure that the quality of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) work performed on site by the contractor and sub-contractors complies with contract requirements.
- To supervise hook-up works for his discipline up to pre-commissioning and provide assistance/support to commissioning/startup personnel.
- Report to the management by identifying any actual or future slippage or blocking points in work progress.
b) Specific Activities:
- Construction/Precommisioning activities:
- To check the engineering documents prepared by the contractor – in his discipline – and to give timely comments on and/or approval of, in accordance with contract procedures and requirements. To check the incorporation of such comments by the contractor.
- To check the progress of the work performed by the contractor.
- To participate in technical reviews as requested by his management.
- To ensure that all risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor. Control of the contractor during hook-up/precommisioning activities
- To ensure that the quality of the E&I erection work performed by contractor and sub-contractors complies with contract requirements
- To assess any requests by the contractor to deviate from quality control procedures or requirements and make appropriate recommendation to the Head of hook-up.
- To participate in weekly and ad-hoc meetings with the contractor.
- To report on the work performed by the contractor and on any problems encountered to the Head of hook-up/Hook-up Coordinator
- To liaise with the Structure/Piping/Mechanical Supervisors as required.
Reporting:
- To report on any problem encountered in his discipline to the Head of hook-up/Hook-up Coordinator
- To prepare the daily report in his discipline.
1.2 The SERVICES will take place in the following location:
Offshore Nigeria or other Nigerian onshore WORKSITE(S) as designated by COMPANY
