SUPPLY FINANACE ACCOUNTANT JOB IN LAGOS. JUNE 2, 2011

Our client
Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a large international FMCG Group. The Group is looking for a Supply Finance in its Lagos Office.

Job description
-The Supply Finance is a managerial role, which will be responsible for:
-
Leading month-end accounting for supply finance.
-Ensuring all Supply costs are accrued for in full every month, after review with the Supply Controller.
-Assist Supply controller in monthly review of supply finance results and KPIs with the Business lead team.

Responsibilities
-Ensure Inventory is valued correctly and as per company policy every month.
-Ensure accurate reporting in all financial reporting tools (HFM, ICE).
-Ensure all Balance sheet schedules are prepared and reviewed every month for all  supply related accounts within 2 working days of the month end reporting.
-Provide cost evaluations for various promotions and NPD/EPDs.
-Prepare a standard reporting template and circulate the same every month.
-Review Inventory ageing with the supply services team and recommend actions
-Work closely with the Supply team to finalize Annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts for all elements of COGS and provide SKU wise Gross Margins to the financial planning team.
-Set up standard costs, BOMs every year beginning in the ERP and maintain the same.
-Ensure all changes are done as required on a time to time basis to ensure updated standard costs in the ERP.
-Work with the internal and external auditors and provide them with all required information.
-Evaluate areas where there is a need of SOPs in the factory and develop the same.
-Conduct internal audits and reviews on a monthly basis with the factory controller of various processes in the factory and come up with a detailed report with facts and observations.
-Act as a business partner to the supply function and information/analysis on ad hoc basis.

-Ensure all inventory GL Sub GL reconciliations are done on the 1st working day of the month and JDE released for use to business.
        
Qualifications and experience
-Must have a B.Sc in any Finance related course and a Masters degree
-Must have a similar experience in an FMCG organization
-A Minimum of 6 years relevant experience
-Good knowledge of SAP or any ERP
