Psyntech Limited - Our client, a leading provider of infrastructure-based Telecommunications, ISP & IP Telephony, and other Information Technology services here in Nigeria, requires the services of suitably qualified candidates for employment to fill the position of:
Job Title: Data Centre Operator
Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Build, upgrade and configure custom ordered servers spanning several different platforms and configurations
- Monitor, troubleshoot and repair upgrade and downgrade servers with hardware and network problems
- Monitor all Electrical, Mechanical and Emergency Generator systems and report as appropriate. Routine up keeping and cleaning
- Escalate tickets as needed and collaborate with teammates to resolve customer issues.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in current techniques and capabilities of data centres
- Supporting infrastructure including but not limited to Utility and Emergency Power
- Generation and Distribution, HVAC, Smoke and Fire Detection and Suppression
- Data Storage Infrastructure with a focus in energy efficiency, space utilization, reliability and uptime.
Required Experience:
- Familiarity with HVAC Systems or other physical infrastructure
- Previous years of experience working in data centres or similar IT environment
- Age: Not more than 28 years
Minimum Qualification:
- A minimum of A Bachelor s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, communications Technology, facility management or related field,.
- Second Class Upper (2.1)
