Psyntech Limited - Our client, a leading provider of infrastructure-based Telecommunications, ISP & IP Telephony, and other Information Technology services here in Nigeria, requires the services of suitably qualified candidates for employment to fill the position of:
Job Title: Head, IT Platform Services
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Permanent: 6 years in Telecoms/ IT environment
Age: Not more than 35 years
Responsibilities:
- Linux administration
- Analyse and prioritise developments, outline opportunities and ensure a pro-active and innovative approach to our work
- Enhance BSS/OSS Services
- Continue strategic approach, innovation and best practices in the use of technology and IT
- Lead and manage technical team with clear structure and processes for the department
- Utilise project management methodology and agile software practices, where appropriate, to enhance business communication and to provide user scenarios for developments
- Oversee out-sourced software development relationships, development and delivery
- Work with other departments within the organisation to get maximum return.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of LANs, WANs, Virtualization, TCP/IP, Routing, SANs, Network design, firewalls, Directory Services, encryption technologies, system monitoring and management.
- Linux administration
- Knowledge of best practices for improving and enhancing BSS/OSS services
- Working knowledge of open source Free side (BSS/OSS) , Free Radius(Triple A) and MySQL (Relational Database Management System)
- Experience with scripting, installation and migration concepts in Bash, Perl.
- Capacity to write scripts for system automation.
- Ability to document and implement processes to increase efficiency, productivity, reliability and scalability.
Minimum Qualification:
- A minimum of A Bachelor s degree or equivalent Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science. Second Class Upper (2.1).
- Systems Administrative role in Linux environment.
