The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking a Permanent Construction Manager. This position is a local one open to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.

Job Title: Construction Manager

Job Location: Yola, Adamawa

Summary of Position:
The Construction Manager shall work closely and understudy the Project Manager. The position shall report directly to the Project Manager while assisting the Project manager in systematic implementation of a program of inspections, tests, and work controls to attain the required standards of quality and to preclude problems resulting from noncompliance. Ensure that quality of work meets contract plans, specifications, and related requirements.

Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture/ Construction Management or a similar field from a recognized and reputable tertiary institution.
  • 3-5 Years of demonstrated experience in high quality Commercial /Educational Construction Projects.
  • Knowledge of applicable university policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret and prepare drawings, maps, graphs, specifications and compilation of numerical data.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Expert level competence with MS Office package and other relevant applications.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Willing to relocate to Yola, Adamawa State
