My client, a leading engineering company is looking for an Engineering Manager to work in Lagos, Nigeria.
Job Title: Engineering Manager - Nigeria
Job Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
a.) Technical Activities
- Scheduling staff assignments
- Supervising technical staff (draftsmen and engineers) involved on projects
- Conducting performance review on project
- Approving the engineering jobs delivered by the staff
- Producing the technical tender
b.) Management Activities
- Defining the recruitment plan and selecting the profile
- Managing the team leader and project manager
- Liaising with directors, business developer and administrative officer
- Interface with each Engineering Manager within the Group
- To support business development through clients' meetings and exhibition
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Ocean, Mechanical or Marine)
- Minimum of 12 years experience with design and engineering of offshore structures
- Experience with project management and team management
- Good communication skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken) and French is a clear asset
- A good team player. Self-motivated with a drive for results, improvement and innovation
