Job Title: Account Officer
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description:
- Managing the inflow and outflow of funds
- Compiling and analyse financial information for the group
- Preparing financial statements and bank reconciliation analysis (monthly, quarterly and annually) of the group’s financial transaction
- Ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted accounting policies and procedures
- Preparing and entering appropriate and comprehensive journal entries into accounting software tools
- Preparing periodic financial reports for Management when required
- Preparing product/programme cost accounting, product/programme price development and inventory management and control
- Establishing and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
- Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
- Manage, monitor and support taxation issues
- Maintaining and accounting for petty cash including handling, reconciliation and reporting
- Preparing the Group’s yearly budget, cash flow and funding analysis
- Work with the Management team to improve forecasting, budgeting, planning and financial analyses processes
- Developing and maintaining financial data bases
- Analysing and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitment and future revenue
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenue and expenses
- Undertaking any other duties as requested by the Line Manager and Management
