Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Head of Unit, the structural design senior engineer is technically responsible for Structural designs, their correctness and on-time delivery. The position requires thorough knowledge of (international) structural design techniques.
- The main mission of the position is to perform structural analysis, layout and shop drawings
- Structural engineering plans, design and layout
- Structural engineering analysis of reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures
- Compilation of engineering design reports and project specifications
- Ensuring the production of general arrangement and reinforcement drawings
- Ensuring the production of steel layout plans and connection details
- Supervise graduate engineers
- Structural engineering calculations and project specifications
- Steel workshop-, formwork-, and reinforcement drawings for buildings and civil structures
Requirements
- Must hold a bachelor or higher degree in structural engineering or in a related discipline
- Holding a masters degree will be an added advantage
- Having a minimum of 7 years previous experience in structural design engineering is a condition
- Registration as ENGR with COREN is preferably
- Has a knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and other common software in structural design
- Must be authorised to work in Nigeria
- Is a self-starter with an aptitude to problem solving and can work independently
- Demonstrates excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be fluent in oral and written English
