RS Hunter Limited is recruiting to fill the following position:
Job Title: Account Officer
Job Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining all financial, accounting, and financial administrative services of the company in order to meet legislative requirements and support business operations.
- Assist with preparation of budget.
- Implement financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure daily postings of receipts, invoices and cheque requisition.
- Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and petty cash account reconciliation.
- Preparation of VAT Schedule for remittance
- Process supplier invoices as well as posting of all sales invoice at the end of each month.
- Ensure transactions are properly recorded.
- Assist in the preparation of income statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Involvement in monthly Trial Balance review.
- Establish and maintain customers’ accounts and reconcile customer’s statement.
- Liaise with CIT Officers to collect trip sheets and prepare monthly sales invoices.
- Ensure Compliance with Statutory Regulations.
- Ensure information security and confidentiality at all times.
- Effectively carrying out all other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree plus relevant professional certification.
- 3 to 5 years prior professional experience specifically in Accounting.
- High level of planning and organizing skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite.
- Superior organisational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to gather and analyze information and possession of investigative skills.
- Ability to take initiative and maintain a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
- Good investigative and reporting skills.
- Time management skills and ability to function under pressure.
