T&G welcomes applications from Nigeria's best and brightest seeking a career in the manufacturing sector for employment in our new machine shop in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. We are an indigenous company based in Port Harcourt using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery to fabricate parts.

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • Set up and operate CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Properly and safely load castings and raw materials into CNC machinery
  • Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
  • Perform daily & regular cleaning & light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery

 

Required Qualifications
All the following criteria must be met:

  • 3 years as a CNC operator/ Machinist/Technologist in a manufacturing environment
  • HND/BSc minimum in engineering or related discipline with Good knowledge of Machining & experience with CNC machines

 

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, both verbally & in writing
  • Ability to adhere to company quality management system, policies & safety standards

 

Mathematical Ability:

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (application of fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions)
     

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work on 12-hourly shift basis, rotating from day shift to night shift.
