Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description
- Set up and operate CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Properly and safely load castings and raw materials into CNC machinery
- Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Perform daily & regular cleaning & light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
Required Qualifications
All the following criteria must be met:
- 3 years as a CNC operator/ Machinist/Technologist in a manufacturing environment
- HND/BSc minimum in engineering or related discipline with Good knowledge of Machining & experience with CNC machines
Language Skills:
- Ability to communicate in English effectively, both verbally & in writing
- Ability to adhere to company quality management system, policies & safety standards
Mathematical Ability:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (application of fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions)
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work on 12-hourly shift basis, rotating from day shift to night shift.
