The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking Permanent Admissions Counselor. This position is a local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Admissions Counselor (Graduate School)
Job Location: Yola, Adamawa
Summary of Position:
- The position of Admissions Counselor(Graduate School) works in all aspects of the admissions process; explain the goals and values of the University, supply information to prospective students about course of study, scholarships and admissions requirement, campus life.
- S/he Serves as a member of the Admissions team in the department.
- This position is primarily responsible for recruiting students to achieve enrollment goals by handling on/off-campus recruiting.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor&'s degree in Humanities or other field appropriate to area of assignment.
- 3 to 4 years demonstrated experience in similar or related positions, or related marketing experience or training.
- Excellent oral and written English.
- Knowledge of other national and international language is an advantage.
- Skills in effective communication and public presentations.
- Experience with and sensitivity to diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically, Word, Access and Excel.
Other Requirements, Abilities for the Position:
- Some supervisory skills and training experience.
- Ability to represent the office and the university in a professional manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude that will promote a healthy cultural climate in admission.
- Ability to travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours.
- Ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to diversity.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently.
Remuneration
- Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and job classification as approved by the University.
