Job Description

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for the financial results of commissioning operations and, within the scope of his or her Project Management duties, for overall project results.

Job Responsibilities
General, superordinate tasks and duties (within his or her own scope of responsibility):

Ensure compliance with the environmental, fire protection and occupational health & safety regulations.
Ensure definition of and compliance with the requirements governing quality, time schedules (deadlines) and costs.
Ensure compliance with the data protection and information security requirements governing e.g. personnel data, design calculations, costings and proposals (bids).
Ensure experience and information feedback (via e.g. CAPA and PCM).
Maintain and update the List of Open Points (WeB LOP).
Provide support for project site-specific reporting (e.g. daily, weekly and monthly reports).

Further important tasks and duties of the Commissioning Manager:

Startup of Siemens' scope of supply and services or the overall plant (if Siemens is turnkey supplier or assumes the role of consortium leader), placement in proper plant operation, and handover to the customer/owner or some other contractual partner.
Assume responsibility for the financial results and project concurrent cost accounting of commissioning (where applicable including fiduciary processing of other CNS series items on trust basis) as well as for management of interfacing between construction/erection and commissioning.
Conduct risk and opportunity management jointly with the SMBA within his or her defined scope of duties.
Coordinate and control commissioning of mechanical, electrical and I&C systems and components of Siemens scope of supply and services, and coordination of interfacing with the scopes of supply and services performed by other companies.
Plan and specify personnel deployment for commissioning.
Ensure complete and comprehensive commissioning documentation, including revision of operating manuals.
