Key responsibilities of the role include:

As the Gym Instructor, you will maintain the fitness/aerobics areas during class times to provide a relatively safe, effective, and motivating environment for physical activity.
Assess continually the participants and their ability level.
Explain and demonstrate principles, techniques, and methods of regulating movement of body, hands, or feet to achieve proficiency in activity.
Explain and demonstrate use of apparatus and equipment.
Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations. Set up facility for any activity that is needed for assigned fitness class. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

Qualifications

Diploma in Health and fitness
Experience in a Gym/Health club environment
Able to carry and lift items up to 50 pounds and frequently stand up and move about the facility
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be well groomed and pleasant
Good understanding of the Hotel Industry standards, policies and procedures
Pre opening experience a strong plus
Service minded and ability to involve and support operations
