Vacancy exist for the position below:

Position: Communication Officer

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

The Communications Officer will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of Pact's communication drive to maximize visibility of the impact of Pact Nigeria projects on the people of Nigeria.
The jobholder will generate creative concepts for success stories, news nuggets and briefs.
The jobholder will draft and edit communication materials to print-ready status.
S/he will support the production of photographs, video-recordings and documentaries about Pact activities that meet international standards.
S/he will oversee management of Pact Nigeria Communications Folder on Share Point and shared drive, and the management of soft and hard copies of folders documenting success stories, photographs and abstracts.

Requirements:

Degree in Social or other Sciences. Four years post-qualification experience (communication-relevant).
Exemplary verbal/written English language and drafting skills – and evidence of interest in reading widely and writing, essential.
Proven track record in communication/creative writing with capacity for strategic-thinking.
Assesses priorities and multi-tasks in a high-intensity situation. Must be good at organizing, time-management, especially in meeting deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
Excellent computer skills, especially for graphic and web design or good potential.
Understanding of photography and ability to take photographs with impact an advantage.
