Job Description

The Research Office

The newly established Research Office of the University is conceptualised as a globally-oriented office with a mandate to reposition and respond to new and emerging trends in research in the University.

Objectives of the Unit include:

Research Development Unit

Intensification of research activities across the University.
Coordination of multidisciplinary research activities.
Sourcing research grants from local and international agencies.
Effective administration of grant and research activities.

Required Qualifications

Candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a Ph.D degree or its equivalent in the relevant field of specialisation in the Sciences or Humanities from a recognised University both at least two (2) years experience.
The candidate must be ready to develop a career path in a research environment.
He must be able to demonstrate ability for research and research proposal writing.
The candidate must be able to produce independent and original contributions to the subject area in a research group.
He must demonstrate the ability to attract external funding for research.

Salary and Allowance

Research Fellow II CONUASS 3 (N897, 501.00 - N1,074,314.00) per annum.
