Job Summary:

NRO (Network Rollout) provides senior competence to support deliveries across the region. Competence Domain SA & SME is looking to recruit Senior Transmission RAN Solution Architects to join its team based in Nigeria.

Job Description

As a senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for managing customer requirements and proposing solutions utilizing Ericsson and 3rd party products. The senior Solution Architect is engaged with the account team from pre-sales through the implementation and conclusion stages of the project. The senior Solution Architect is experienced in handling scope change and also demonstrates strong leadership capabilities. As a senior Solution Architect your role is at the centre of activities, entailing a high level of interaction with the customer organization and the necessary internal units in Ericsson.

Main Responsibilities:

Analyse complex customer requirements and propose technical and competence development solutions
Select or propose 3rd party suppliers/products for the Customer Solution as required.
Provide the specified customized solutions, covering several domains and layers in the customer network. Products
Drive changes in the methods, processes and guidelines within the customer organization or internally demonstrating leadership.
When applicable participate as a member of Core 3 team.
Drive Add on sales and new business opportunities during the entire process in order to contribute to increased sales volumes.
Manage teams of less experienced Solution Architect or Service Engineers in Customer Projects.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years Telecom Experience and including at least 5 years in a customer facing role as a solution architect
Strong architecture design and modelling capabilities
Strong track record in engaging with C-level at customers
Very strong knowledge on RAN systems such as WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, IPRAN and ETRAN and services such as design/planning, optimisation, network performance review.
Strong E2E GSM, WCDMA and LTE network architecture knowledge
Ability to use Transmission Planning tool will be an added advantage.
