Responsibilities

Edit dialogue, sound effects and correct errors of BTVA’s production/broadcast using editing equipment.
Select and combine the most effective shots of each scene in order to form a logical and smoothly running story.
Mark frames where a particular shot or piece of sound is to begin or end.
Create compelling charts and data features.
Determine the specific audio and visual effects necessary for production/broadcast.
Cut shot sequences to different angles at specific points in scenes, making each individual cut as fluid and seamless as possible.
Take all the shots from filming, and edit them until the finished product matches the programme director's vision of the broadcast.

Requirements

BSc/HND in Communication/Journalism, Video/Film Production or any related discipline
Minimum relevant work experience of 4 years in live news environment
3 years of experience in editing in a television production industry
Experience in editing and writing about financial markets on deadline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in live and pre-recorded environment.
Excellent online samples that demonstrate technical work for major clients
Demonstrated leadership ability
Knowledge of the Bloomberg system, or a desire to build proficiency
Excellent visual storyteller
Proficient with Final Cut Pro (versions 7+)
Familiarity with Motion Graphics programs such as After Affects, Photoshop, etc.
