Job Title: Camera Operator

Job Summary

  • News/event coverage
  • Assemble, prepare and set up equipment prior to broadcast, which may include tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and leads, and headphones.
  • Troubleshoot digital broadcast electronic equipment to the component level in camera, switchers, transmitters and associated terminal equipment.
  • Prepare the news studio for newscasts, checking all cameras, lights and microphones for functionality

Requirements

  • A degree in videography, camera operation or journalism.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of operating different camera in video broadcasting formats. Great visual, aesthetics and lighting sense.
  • Ability to focus, frame and compose shots
  • Understanding of digital production
  • Technical ability, dexterity and agility
  • Ability to work under pressure
