Job Summary

Operate and manage an EVS server system in a live TV production gallery in an agile and responsive manner to replay finished news packages under direction from production staff as part of live programming.
Responsible for managing that process of transferring files into the EVS system from Adobe Premiere Pro editing workstations as well as clearing-down clips from the EVS system once they are no longer active.

Qualification and Requirements

A relevant 3rd level vocational qualification in communications engineering.
Extensive experience working as a VT, Slow-Mo, or general server operator in live TV production environments.
Previous EVS operational experience
Understanding of modern television and file-based post production workflows
Experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro
A basic understanding of digital video and audio file formats. (e.g., MXF, DVCProHD, H264, Mpeg4 etc.)
Knowledge of EVS XS and IP Director for live production play out
Knowledge of a file based workflow, and preferably the EVS X-File transcode application.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Strong multitasking and time management skills
Ability to work calmly in fast paced, high pressure environment
Extremely proactive, detailed, responsible and able to work well with a team
Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years experience.
