We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Field Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical / Packaging)

Job Description

  • The purpose of this position is to ensure that the filling line efficiency at the customer sites is maximised at all times, taking into account the current commercial conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection, repair, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of filling and packaging machines at customer sites.
  • Record customer complaints and ensure the responsible personnel are informed.
  • Support of customer staff regarding technical problems.
  • Ordering of spear parts, with correct customer approval process, when required.
  • Installation of filling lines as and when needed.
  • Produce technical reports as and when required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Mechanical / Electrical degree or relevant trade certificate with at least 5 years in the packaging industry.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must have experience in filed service work and customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office min.
  • PLC programming experience is preferred.
  • Packing industry experience is preferred.
  • Must have excellent electrical or mechanical machinery maintenance background.
  • Additional language such as Portuguese / German / French / Arabic is an advantage.

Contractual information:

  • Permanent position based in Lagos.
  • Must have a valid driver's licence.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally for training and business as needed.
