Kimberly Ryan - Our Client is a product of a joint venture between public and private sector companies and is the operator of gas pipelines transportating gas across 4 countries in the West African sub region. In a bid to reinforce the company’s commitment to its mode of operation in terms of safety, quality, research and resourcefulness, the company’s requires the services of the following personnel:

Job Title: Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Managing, coordinating and controlling the application of activities within process engineering, design engineering, design/drafting services, facilities engineering, electrical engineering, hydraulics, right of way, asset integrity, inspection, maintenance and construction management;
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring the performance of technical service programmes that are aligned with the company’s business plan and strategies;
  • Providing technical consultation and project development services to commercial teams for regional business opportunities;
  • Acting as an initial point of technical support for field teams and providing technical support for field team activities including appropriate calculations, documentation and recommendation;
  • Managing all aspects of capital and operating expense budget in respective area, tracking projects and operating metrics;
  • Managing pipeline corrosion prevention, coating, metallurgy and failure analysis and repair standards for the company.
  • Serving as senior technical advisor to Management and champion the implementation of technical policy;
  • Working closely with contractors to ensure the company’s design concepts are incorporated in all assigned work
  • Establishing a workplace culture that holds safely and health of company employees, contractors and the public as well as protection of the environment in high esteem
  • Holds all company staff and contractors accountable for safety and environmental performance

Qualification and Requirements

  • A degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil, Gas or Electrical Engineering from a reputable university
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in natural gas pipline and gas pipeline facility design, maintenance and construction
  • Must have strong gas transmission pipeline facility knowledge coupled with experience in all aspects of onshore and offshore natural gas transmission pipeline, compression and metering station operations and maintenance
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with th e ability to influence at all levels for the achievement of desired results
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to mentor and develop technical and maintenance competency within the company
  • Must have working experience with various cultures in a multi-cultural environment
  • Must be an excellent team player/builder with proven ability of fostering cooperation and collaboration among employees in a unit
  • Must be able to strengthen the organisation by maximizing people with diverse backgrounds
