Our client a leading Telecommunication & Power infrastructure Services Company with operations across Nigeria and West Africa is seeking to recruit exceptional and highly motivated professional to fill the position below:
Position: Senior Accountant
Ref: OCL/EMR/SAC
Location: Any City, NG
Responsibilities
- Work with and assist the Financial Controller in implementing account functions for the group.
- Prepare asset, liability, revenue, and expenses record entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Verifying allocating posting reconciling transactions resolving discrepancies on group accounts and their supporting documents for accuracy completeness of all payments and /or receipts, Invoices, Journals, Debit/Credit Memos and ensures they are correctly posted into the Accounting System.
- Monitor and update Master file information for (Vendors, Customer, Assets, Inventories, Payroll) on the Accounting System.
- Assist in monitoring of stock receipts, costing, consumption and producing of relevant stock report for management's use.
- Ensure that daily call-over and verification are carried out on all transactions posted into the system.
- Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Summarize financial status by collecting information preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Produce schedules for remittance/payment of VAT, WHT, Pension, PAYE and other statutory Payments.
- Liaise with the Financial Controller (FC) to prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements to be submitted to Management before 15th day of the new month.
- To co-ordinate and attend to all internal and external Auditors queries and other third party information requirement. Including other jobs that may be assigned by the FC from time to time.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant, 5 or more years of progressive Accounting experience.
- ACCA/ICAN Professional and MBA is an added advantage preferably in Finance.
- Must be skilled in the use of ERP platforms - Microsoft Navision or its equivalent.
