We are recruiting to fill the following position:
Job Title: ICSS Commissioning Supervisor
Job Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Responsibilities
- The SERVICES are required offshore on a 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, back-to-back basis (i.e., two designees on a rotational back-to-back basis).
- To ensure that the ICSS tests performed on worksite by the contractor and sub-contractors complies with OPERCOM methodology and project procedures.
- To provide ICSS technical assistance/support during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on the construction yard and to directly supervise piping commissioning activities during commissioning execution phase on the offshore site.
- Report to the management by identifying any actual or future slippage or blocking points in work progress.
- To ensure that all ICSS safety pre-requisites are in place before performing any pre-commissioning checks and/or commissioning tests
- To liaise with Construction team and witness all ICSS pre-commissioning activities.
- To check the progress of work performed by the contractor and to ensure that all risks are well anticipated / reduced as much as possible during commissioning activities.
- To review all ICSS pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures prepared by contractor and make relevant comments in preparation of such documents.
- To assess any requests by the contractor to deviate from quality control procedures or technical requirements and make appropriate recommendation to the ICSS Commissioning Leader. To participate in technical reviews, to compile ICSS commissioning mark up drawings
- To participate in weekly and ad-hoc meetings with the contractor and to sign all ICSS functional test sheets when the activity has been completed.
Site Commissioning phase activities (Offshore site, Nigeria)
- To ensure that all ICSS safety pre-requisites are put in place before performing any commissioning tests and to ensure that the quality of the ICSS work performed on site by the contractor and subcontractors is in compliance with contract requirements and project procedures.
- Supervise all ICSS conformity checks, functional tests and operational tests assigned to him by the ICSS
- Commissioning Leader, and to fill all ICSS commissioning test sheets as activities are carried out by the contractor.
- Report to ICSS Commissioning Leader for validation of any technical change or modification on ICSS equipment.
- To prepare daily reports on his activities, including compilation of all ICSS punch list items, to the ICSS Commissioning Leader.
- Provide support to other supervisors (Mech/Elect/IPiping/Instrument/HVAC/Telecom) on as required.
Other Activities
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures related to HSE management.
- Participate in safety walk through and any inspection/audit as required by HSE team or Project management.
- Reinforce the usage of PPE by all Contractor and Company personnel.
- Report HSE anomalies or deficiencies using anomaly reporting system.
- Provide feedback on HSE conditions and actively promote HSE improvement and safe working practices.
- Regularly attend Project HSE meetings and training.
- Ensure that contractor HSE practices are acceptable and that proper measures and procedures are being implemented by everyone concerned.
Requirements
- ICSS Technician with 5+ years of supervisory experience in the context of large oil and gas projects, especially in onshore and offshore commissioning roles.
- Knowledge of The Company's Commissioning methodology and tools – OPERCOM and ICAPS – will be an asset.
