Position:  MANAGER-LEGAL SERVICES

Department: Company Secretariat   

Reports to the Company Secretary.

CLOSING DATE:  12th July, 2011

THE JOB:

  •  Provides first line advice on legal matters and determines areas requiring external legal support, reviews routine and standard agreements and contracts; ensures regulatory compliance with all relevant government agencies.
  •  Liaises with company solicitors, builds in-house case documents and represents the Company in the Courts; establishes and manages process of KYC [know your customer] matters for facilitation of customer credit facility and registration of suppliers & contractors; assists the Company Secretary in handling issues on Corporate Governance Codes and Company Code of Ethics.

QUALIFICATION: LL.B, BL

THE PERSON:

Organized with good analytical, reasoning and evaluation skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Candidate must be well versed in law and able to perform assigned tasks in good time.

EXPERIENCE:  10 years cognate experience in a reputable law firm.
