- Preparation and supervision of technical repairs, modifications and upgrades
- Audit of cement plants and grinding terminals
- Operations of grinding terminals and complete cement plants
- Preventive maintenance and planning
- Management of required spare parts
- Recruitment, management and training of employees
- Management of operational stability and improvement-process, product quality, performance
- Ensuring health & safety and environmental regulations

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor (m/f)

Job Location: Lagos
Role & Responsibility:
- Supervise all mechanical maintenance activities at the plant site including safety, costs, environmental aspects and equipment availability
- Responsible for the mechanical supervision for assigned mill parts
- Maintenance and repair of machines and plants
- Coordinate and control the manpower availability on site
- Prepare the maintenance work to be supervised
- Train delegated personnel with regard to maintenance and repair of our machines and plant components
- Assurance of our quality standards and safety regulations during the maintenance of machine and plant components
- Technical elaborations/ audits with regard to mechanical supervision
- Ensure high standards in the provision of maintenance services in alignment with best maintenance practices
- Secure optimal availability and maintenance of all equipment
- Plan and coordinate repairs and replacement of parts
- Create the necessary purchasing requisitions for spare parts
- Continuous reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager
- Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines
Qualification and Requirements:
- University degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
- Professional experience as Installation/ Maintenance Supervisor in the cement industry
- Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance and best maintenance practices
- Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations
- Organisation and planning skills
- Good communication skills, an ability to work in a team and a confident manner
- Very good MS-Office and MS-Project knowledge
- Business-fluent spoken and written English
- Further languages skills would be an advantage
- Willingness to travel to various national locations
