POSITION : Finance Manager
    
 Descriptions

  • This position leads the financial department to control general accounting, manage cash flow, prepare budget and forecast, analyze financial statements, generate financial reports, administer company's tax affairs and share other functional work required by the company management.
  • He/she will provide effective financial leadership for the Nigerian operations of the company to grow value responsibility in a profitable and sustainable manner.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations and corporate financial policies
  • Provide and/or oversee day to day financial and accounting services and management within the guidelines established with and by the head office in Europe
  • Review and control day to day accounting operation: General Ledger, AP. AR, Inventory control, cash management etc
  • Responsible for Bank accounts and Cash management, Tax & Capex procedures
  • Handling overall Taxation matters, Statutory Audits, Internal Audit, Company Law & other legal matters finalization of accounts & Audit
  • Responsible for the company's tax declaration & annual survey
  • Preparing the monthly and annual reporting according to group standard, prepare annual budget, periodic management reports
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, maintain other planning and control procedures, while analyzing and reporting variances
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity and reliability of all financial information and meeting the deadlines
  • Ensure appropriate financial risk, accounting and auditing policies and procedures of the company
  • In charge of relationship with internal & external auditors, banks, clients financial representative and other actors
  • Handling of Foreign Exchange transactions, Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees
  • Administration of ERP
  • Any other tasks assigned by the company

Expectations

  • Academic Qualification: BSc Degree Accounting/ACA/ACCA
  • Proven work experience, domain knowledge and expertise in financial management and corporate accounting with minimum 8 years of experience in which 5 years should be in a similar position
  • Previous international financial experience in large corporate preferred
  • Corporate management accounting experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS rules, familiar with national and local tax law & regulations
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles in Nigeria and international
  • Familiar with ERP system and office software, SAP using experience is preferred
  • Excellent in problem solving, analytical and administrative skills
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment and under pressure
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Candidate must be self motivated, proactive and autonomous
  • Self-driven, able to work under pressure and meet details
  • Impeccable integrity and high ethical standards
  • FX Hedging Expertise
