We operate as an organisational development consultancy providing bespoke interventions aimed at improving staff engagement and performance. As an experienced consultancy, we work across sectors with clients in either product or service industries who require the infusion of world-class standards and best practices into their structures especially as a result of, or in readiness for growth and expansion.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Develop finance strategies; lead budgeting and forecasting; support strategic and business planning and possible expansion.
Drive the company’s financial planning
Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
Liaise with external financial services organizations, and investors as may be required, to ensure the business remains adequately funded in terms of Debt, Equity and Working Capital requirements.
Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
Oversee and advice management on investment activities; provide advice/recommendations relating to financial and tax considerations of investments, as well as other business transactions
Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
Coordinate the preparation of financial statements; review and ensure accuracy of accounting records; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies: ensure all departments comply with all relevant tax laws: PAYE, VAT, WHT, CGT etc.

Requirements

B.Sc / BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; M.Sc / MBA is a plus
Proven experience in top financial management role
In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
Ability to strategize and solve problems
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and people skills
An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
