1. Job Title: Electrical Superintendent

  Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

ACTIVITIES
To follow-up the Construction and associated pre-commissioning activities related to Nigerian Content (NC) packages, up to end of Construction and load-out/integration works. Ensure that fabrication is in accordance with the design.
• To ensure that all construction activities related to his discipline are performed safely and efficiently in line with company objectives.
• To oversee the activities of all site teams within his discipline to ensure that all technical, contractual and cost information is properly recorded, collated and available for inspection/reference as required by company policy.
• To identify deficiencies and develop solutions to identified construction problems within his discipline.
• Monitor all electrical related works during prefabrication and erection.
• Ensure contractor to follow and comply with requirement of Company specification mainly GS ELE 451 regarding certification and final reporting of electrical equipments.
• Reviews of vendor’s documents and verify/check electrical equipments arrived at workshop.
• Comments on the contractor documents related to electrical in due time.
• Review and comment site queries related to electrical works and co-ordinate the response with electrical engineer leader.
• Close communication and exchange/share an information/constraint at yard with electrical engineer leader.
• Monitor QC activities within his discipline.
• To manage construction interfaces within his discipline with others (engineering, other sub-projects, commissioning) arbitrating between different disciplines, the only criterion being the overall good of the project.
• To maintain good relationships with contractors, being relatively flexible, proactive but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the project.
• To ensure that safety remains the main priority on the construction site at all times.
• Attend the toolbox meetings.
• To ensure that the construction yards are provided with suitable information in line with requirements (technical & schedule), troubleshooting any technical problems that could affect construction/ fabrication.
• To identify critical activities and potential bottlenecks for the progress of the works.
• To inform periodically to Construction Yard Representative about the progress activities and area of concern.
• To prepare or help to prepare reports for company, partners, and authorities as required.

HSE
• To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
• To participate to local programs or initiatives to improve HSSE performances.
• To report to Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose way of improvement.
• To also take care of colleagues safety and behavior without hesitating to intervene as much as necessary.
• To carefully assess hazards and risks when changes occur.
• To give his own input and making sure the workplace is safe (obviously clean and tidy). When in doubt, ask questions to gain clarification.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
• Security issues and difficult relationships with local communities may arises at some worksites

2. Job Title: Construction Superintendent Yard – 4 (PHC)

  Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

ACTIVITIES
To follow-up the Construction and associated pre-commissioning activities related to Nigerian Content (NC) packages, up to end of Construction and load-out/integration works.
Ensure that fabrication is in accordance with the design.
Project controls, administration.
• Review and analyse planning updates and critical path for all activities related to Nigerian Content packages Construction. Detect all possible delays and constraints and propose remedial action.
• Review and approve construction progress for all activities related to Nigerian Content packages Construction.
• In charge of distribution and follow up all incoming and outgoing documents on Site. Ensure that these documents are properly managed and that all actions required are taken within the contractual time frame.
• Review and monitor all recorded and potential change orders, and inform to FPSO In Country Construction Manager
• Report periodically to FPSO In Country Construction Manager about the progress activities and area of concern

Construction and associated pre-commissioning activities.
• Ensure that interface with Contractor is fully controlled and that efficient working relations are established.
• Monitor QC activities.
• Interface with Area Project Engineer (NC packages) to address Site queries and anticipate potential problems. Together will also co-ordinate the requirements for specialist engineers at site.
• Work closely on the interfaces points mainly on the integration works with integration team.
• Work closely with Commissioning leader in order to ensure a smooth transition at RFC stage. This includes joint monitoring of Contractor RFC dossier, punch list clearance.
• Review with commissioning representative the Vendor requirements and activities at Site.
• Prepare integration works for the NC packages
• Monitor materials and equipment delivered at Site: progress, preservation, and installation.
• To maintain good relationships with contractors, being relatively flexible, proactive but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the project.

HSEQ.
• Attend/chair weekly HSE meeting on Site. Attend monthly HSE Committee on main Yard. Attend Safety tours at least once a week.
• Monitor safety statistics, and initiate improvement plans with Contractor. Ensure that all incidents and anomalies are properly reported and analysed.
• Carry out JSA and HAZID for critical activities Follow up feedback and safety notices and implement corrective actions when required.
• Motivate Contractor, Sub Contractor and Company personnel in order to achieve HSE targets that will be set up jointly between all parties.
• Ensure that HSE and QA procedure are properly implemented.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
• Security issues and difficult relationships with local communities may arises at some worksites
• Inter site marine transportation of heavy project materials and structure
• Resident position

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure the progress and quality the construction work in Nigeria with the development of an optimized and efficient supervision team
• Support and enforce the HSEQ project objectives and directives
• Reports to about yard progress, issues arising and area of concerns
• Ensure continues communication between his team and other construction yards in Nigeria

3. Job Title: Painting/PFP/Insulation Supervisor

   Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

ACTIVITIES
To follow-up the Construction and associated pre-commissioning activities related to Nigerian Content (NC) packages, up to end of Construction and load-out/integration works.
Ensure that painting activities during fabrication is in accordance with the design and minimize the non conformance painting result.
• To ensure that all painting procedures/manuals are available, easily access at yard and well communicate with Contractor.
• To ensure that all painting activities are performed safely and efficiently in line with company objectives and Company / project specifications mainly GS COR 350.
• To monitor QC activities within his discipline.
• To monitor painting materials delivered at Site: storage and preservation.
• Comments on the contractor documents related to painting/PFP/insulation in due time.
• Review and comment site queries related to painting/PFP/insulation works and co-ordinate the response with corrosion engineer leader.
• Close communication and exchange/share an information/constraint at yard with corrosion engineer leader
• To ensure safety issues of used painting materials as hazardous materials.
• To maintain good relationships with contractors, being relatively flexible, proactive but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the project.
• To ensure that safety remains the main priority on the construction site at all times.

• To keep record volume of painting used on Nigerian Content packages including hull appurtenance.

4. Job Title: Construction Superintendent (Nigerian WORKSITE)

Job Description

ACTIVITIES
The SERVICE holder has the overall responsibility for the Buoy hull and ancillary structures fabrication, integration works, pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, etc, at the Nigerian Worksite, and reports hierarchically to the Client
Buoy Package Manager, with functional reporting to Construction Manager and COMPANY Site Representative at the Nigerian Worksite.
The holder of the position shall in particular:
• Be in charge of supervision of all Buoy hull fabrication, integration and construction activities at the Worksite to ensure completion of scope and achievement of the project objectives in terms of safety, schedule, cost, quality and in accordance with contract specifications.
• Coordinate Contractor and Subcontractors fabrication, integration and construction activities in terms of work preparation, schedule, interfaces, etc, to ensure effective organization and efficient performance on the work.
• Represent OLT Package at the Worksite with relevant authorities and be Package construction contact point for all works carried out for Client’s Buoy, while reporting to the Project Management, and liaising with COMPANY Site
Representative at the site for general Client’s issues and logistics.
• Manage Package team personnel at the Worksite, and advice Management on adequate resourcing and organization for supervision of Works at the Worksite.
• Organise and maintain good relation with Contractor and Subcontractors personnel as required for smooth execution of the Buoy Works at the Worksite.
• Be proactive at anticipation of problems related to the work; reporting any discrepancy, delay or other issues; articulating necessary preventive, mitigation or corrective actions, and enforcing Contractor and Subcontractors implementation of necessary actions.
• Keep abreast of contract requirements as they affect the Worksite scope of work and activities, and to participate in evaluation and analysis of problems and solutions.
• Verify consistency between detailed engineering, construction engineering, procurement documentations and construction methodology, as relevant for the buoy fabrication, integration and construction activities, ensuring proper
assistance is provided by COMPANY engineering team to the Worksite construction team.
• Review and comment (or approve where applicable) project documents: Method Statements, Work Procedure and any other Contractor deliverables in due time as may be required.
• Review and analyse Work Planning and Schedule updates, in coordination with the UFR team, in order to optimise and avoid clashes in work sequences and between activities of Contractor / Subcontractors.
• Organize project meetings at the Worksite involving relevant entities: Contractor, Subcontractor and COMPANY team, as required or necessary on issues related to or that impact on the Works and ensure tracking and implementation of action points and dissemination of information within the package.
• Consolidate and issue the Worksite activities daily, weekly and monthly internal reports and assist with inputs to any specific project reports, presentations, etc, as may be requested by Management.
• Follow up and track procurement items deliveries vis-a-vis construction schedule requirements, and implementation of required or necessary inspection activities, ensuring materials and equipment compliance to project specification and good quality.
• Ensure that site modifications are requested, approved, implemented and documented for as-built in accordance with approved project procedures.
• Responsible for follow up and coordination of all load-out operations and activities at the Worksite and liaise with COMPANY Construction Manager and AVEON Site Yard Representative on routine basis for resolution of construction
issues.
• Ensure that as-built dossiers comply with all QA/QC requirements and is in accordance with project specifications.
• Responsible for the preparation of the close-out reports for construction activities at the Buoy Worksite.

HSE
• Demonstrate leadership for implementation of COMPANY HSEQ requirements, and contribute to meet Project HSE objectives while ensuring HSE requirements are taken into consideration during the construction phase to minimize risk to people and assets at any time during the Works.
• Ensure set up at the Worksite of appropriate organization, that Contractor and Subcontractors implements properly the HSE plan at the Worksite, and that proper monitoring and recording of HSE performance are maintained at the Worksite.
• Ensure that safe working practices are promoted and carried out within COMPANY, Contractor and Subcontractor organisation during the Works in accordance with COMPANY HSEQ policy.
• Ensure that designs implemented at the Worksite are approved by relevant Third parties (Certification and/or Classification and/or MWS) when applicable.
• Provide construction input to update the Risks Register along with all mitigation measures, in close coordination with COMPANY, Contractor and Subcontractor teams.
• Participate in various technical reviews (COMOPS, SIMOPS, HAZID, HAZOP, PTR, Risk Assessments, Audits, etc) and ensures implementation of recommendations as necessary.
• Lead and participate to safety tour, visits, tool box talks, etc, at the Worksite as required or necessary.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Directly responsible for hull fabrication, integration and construction Works.
• Responsible for safe and timely completion and delivery of the Buoy, in accordance with project specification, required quality and within budget.
• Reporting to Management on Client’s activities at the Worksite, and liaising with COMPANY Site Representative at the site for general Client’s issues and logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Degree or Higher Diploma (or equivalent) in relevant engineering discipline: mechanical, structural, etc, with proven sound Oil & Gas fabrication and construction working experience (5 years minimum) at level of a Superintendent or its equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in Oil and Gas industry construction activities.
• Good knowledge of international design codes / standards and COMPANY general specifications.
• Experience in management of multiple skilled and diverse teams. Should be team oriented with good communication, motivational, coordination and delegation skills.
• Good computer skill, particularly office Microsoft software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Fluent in English (both verbal and in written).
