Role Summary/Purpose:
GE Power & Water offers an extensive array of products and services for GE LM Aeroderivative gas turbines to over 400 customers in 60 countries in every region of the world. The Contract Performance Manager (CPM) is responsible for executing their assigned Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) portfolio. The role requires customer relationship management, planning of contractual scope, financial management and reporting of contract performance. Various locations in SSA considered for this role
Basic Responsibilities:
The Senior Contract Performance Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy
Specific responsibilities include:
Deliver contract financial elements, including:
-Margin reviews and associated reporting/forecasting/improvement plans
-Plan / coordinate activities on site of a larger project to fulfill a customer order according to financial / commercial parameters and ensure customer satisfaction
-Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including customer interface, negotiations, preparation, and contract interpretation
-Provide contract management support in the execution of equipment only orders for domestic and international contracts
-Provide support to manager and senior contracts personnel on assigned contracts
-Frequently interface with the customer on contract matters
-May perform team leader responsibilities for assigned programs
-Provide interface liaison with functional organizations and ensure proper communication of requirements
-Continually review processes to ensure overall efficiency
-Responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships
-Responsible for quality of delivery, schedule, and budget
-Develop Enhanced Project Management programs and processes that reduce total cycle time and span
-Implement common process across the business, which result in dramatically improved quality and efficiency in project delivery
-Undertake any other tasks/responsibilities as assigned by the CPM's manager
-Drive productivity on assigned contracts via best-in-class maintenance programs, external vendor cost management and regular review of contract performance
-Work with GE internal service providers and affiliates to improve CSA operational and financial performance
-Support sales teams in developing new opportunities, upgrading and/or modifying current CSAs and communicating information regarding latest Conversions, Modifications & Upgrades (CM&Us) available to the client
Qualifications/Requirements: -Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
-At least 5 additional years of experience with contract formation and execution
-Passionate customer service orientation
-Demonstrated business / commercial acumen
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer events simultaneously with a sense of urgency
-Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
-Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience, preferably with gas turbine technology
-Bachelor degree or equivalent education
-Six Sigma Green Belt certified (GE employees only)
Preference will be given to EE candidates
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics:
-Technical knowledge of power generation and/or turbine equipment and operations
-Experience in use of Oracle (or other ERP system) and Microsoft applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
-Knowledge of contract law and formation
-Ability to take lead role in routine contracts
-Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only)
-Additional experience in contract administration or project management is preferred
-Strong business and financial acumen
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
