JOB TITLE: HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND CORPORATE SERVICES
JOB LOCATION: ABUJA
JOB FUNCTION:
The job holder will be responsible for planning and managing the marketing and credit related activities for the Micro Finance Banking group including customer segmentation, MIS, marketing planning, and product development in order to grow the bank’s product portfolio and market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading all activities related to the bank’s marketing and credit strategy function
- Managing all aspects of product development from the concept creation to the launching phase
- Managing and overseeing the Customer Relationship Management unit and its
- Managing and overseeing the Market Intelligence Unit by establishing clear
- marketing objectives and monitoring competition.
- Performing managerial and supervisory responsibilities at the department level as per the bank’s standards
- Performing other tasks as required
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of team members
- Ensuring compliance with defined operational guidelines
- Conducting routine assessment of team members competency and recommending training programs to address identified gaps
- Effectively allocating resources to jobholders within the department
- Providing clear interpretation of departmental goals and individual roles
- Understanding and managing team’s part in the accomplishment of overall company’s goals
- Providing clear direction and mentoring to direct reports
- Ensuring adherence to defined policies and procedures
- Assessing subordinates’ training needs and ensuring prompt bridging of identified gaps by recommending relevant training programs
- Ensuring adherence to best standards and practices within the department
- Creativities (Improvement/Innovation inherent)
- Effectively re-engineering existing processes to reflect banking industry standards
- Proactively identifying and eliminating inefficiencies within the department
- Significantly upgrading team’s performance in line with the overall company
- Predetermining policies and procedures
- Developing operational policies, guidelines and quality control
- Defining and allocating targets
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A good MSc preferably in Marketing, Economics or an MBA
- Professional Qualification is an added advantage
- At least 5 years working experience, 3 of which should be at top management in
- the banking industry
- In depth knowledge of and ability to implement CBN’s Micro Finance regulations
- Detailed understanding of Risk, Credit analysis and Principles of Lending and
- Credit Operations.
- Experience in a bank market branch is compulsory
