Job description
Handle all operations which include Operational monitoring of air/sea inbound/outbound cargo logistics
Manage all levels of Transportation Management Solutions services and activities
Accountable for meeting the financial goals of the company operations
Collection / booking / ETD/ ATD, ETA/ATA, duties advice, cargo release, delivery, invoicing control
Reports To: Operations manager.
The position is based in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Responsibilities
Manage selected key accounts based upon size and complexity of requirements.
Real time updates to clients / progress reports
Maintain client business review schedule and client continuous improvement efforts.
Develop and implement standard operational processes to ensure high quality services for customers.
Document processes and leverage training resource to institutionalize best practices.
Perform regular evaluations of results accomplished.
Implement continuous improvement plans and action to ensure steady progress is made in operation procedures, customer relations, rating, tracking and invoicing activities.
Develop new business opportunities and participate in new customer implementation projects providing support as needed
Utilizes performance improvement techniques and principles to continually improve transportation services for client
Prepare timely management information and reports as specified and requested by upper management
Adheres to all company and client(s) policies and procedures. Resolves conflicts through consensus-building techniques.
Qualifications et experience
B.Sc and specialized degree in logistics management
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in similar activity
Resourceful, flexible, able to multi-task to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Working knowledge of common software tools (Excel, Word and MS Office Outlook)
Interpersonal skills
Good organisational and planning skills
Result-oriented
Rigorous and in a continuous personal and professional improvement process
