a.) Project Management Leadership Program

Role Summary/Purpose:
- The Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP) accelerates the development of project management personnel through intensive training in the areas of technical, commercial and leadership skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Graduates leave the program with leadership skills necessary to fulfill both customer and business objectives. The program, which commences in September 2013, is a two-year program spanning four six-month rotational assignments in various project management functional disciplines (commercial operations, quality, sourcing, contract management, finance, project controls, logistics, project management, lean, field / construction and technical) and typically includes one international assignment. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are expected to take on a role as a full time project leader in their sponsoring GE business.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a technical discipline
- Experience in Power Industries
- Proven leadership skills and prior experience leading projects or teams
- Minimum of 2 years of Field Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of Industry experience with solid performance
- Excellent written, oral communication and facilitation skills
- Green Belt / Black Belt Certified (GE Employees Only)
- Minimum of 7 years of industry experience
Eligibility requirements:
- Ability to complete multi-business, multi-location rotations, and travel both domestically and / or internationally for up to 6 months per rotation
- Ability to do field site rotation if less than 6 months field site experience
- Ability to make 2-year commitment to sponsoring business upon graduation
b.) ITO Proposal Manager

Role Summary/Purpose:
- The ITO (Inquire to Order) Proposal Manager will liaise with the Distributed Power Sales team as well as the Application Engineering teams, identifying likely technical solutions to customers RFQ's, while working with the Distributed Power detailed engineering teams to optimize plant equipment, layouts, routing systems etc.
Essential Responsibilities:
Within Distributed Power, the ITO Proposal Manager is in charge of the management of extended scope proposals, in order to support channels to market of the GE manufactured distributed power generation equipment. The responsibility extends to Distributed Power for the Africa region. Within this non-hierarchical matrix organization, your leadership, expertise and teamwork skills allow you to lead multi-discipline and transverse proposal teams, in charge of the preparation of the Distributed Power technical and commercial offers, for the scope in question. ITO Proposal Manager responsibilities include:
- Work with Partnering and Sales team to develop/maintain Upcoming list of opportunities
- Promote GE offering thru customer presentation and RFQ influencing
- Coordinate with GPO, HQ, Sales and Commercial Operations to develop winning proposal bid strategies
- Facilitate site visits and support technical teams for risk assessment and Proposal development
- Support extended scope proposal activities in a matrix environment, ensuring compliance with all applicable processes
- Participate in the negotiation meetings with the customers
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Engineering Degree: Mechanical or Electrical.
- Project Management expertise
- Eight(8) to ten(10) years experience
- GE ITO experience
