JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate would provide visibility, support and effectiveness to the office of the CEO by helping to streamline internal and external activities.
He/she must have a high degree of business sense and a great influencing ability to persuade people on behalf of the CEO.
He/she should be able to carry himself/herself well, as he/she will be required to communicate with important people. He/she must be able to perform daily routine seamlessly, such as correspondence management and preparing company communications.
He /she must also be able to know his/her executive well, as he/she will be deciding which of the listed appointments in a day or week are most appropriate.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Represent the CEO at meetings and committees and provide feedback
• Research and advice on global, topical and current policy issues in areas of interest to the company
• Answering calls and handling queries
• Organizing travels and preparing complex travel itineraries
• Planning organizing and managing events
• Managing a budget for the CEO’s office
• Preparing presentations, and papers meetings
• Managing and reviewing filing system for the office
• Provide executive support on matters relating to the CEO’s obligations and mandates
• Support the CEO in driving the vision, mission and strategy of the company
• Re-organise and streamline the activities of the CEO’s office for better effect by the following activities:
? Reviewing all internal and external emails and treats accordingly
? Highlighting strategic issues for the CEO’s attention
? Responding to routine mails and enquiries on behalf of the CEO
? Organise and plan the CEO’s diary
QUALIFICATION
• A good university degree in the humanities field/HND
• Minimum of 5 years experience in similar capacity
• 25 – 35 years
SKILLS NEEDED
• Good IT literacy (Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Supervisory and coaching skills
• Strong influencing skills
• Organizational and co-ordination skills
• Ability to Multi-task
• Proactive and ability to work with little or no supervision
• High level of confidentiality
• Documentation skills
• Problem solving/Analytical skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills – oral and written
• Extensive knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment
