1. Job Title: Development Team Lead (Php / MySQL / CMS / ERP / Open Source )

Description
This is an experienced hire position for a PHP / MySql Development Expert , with ample knowledge in use of Open Source Tools, CMS , ERP etc , with  a working experience in use of MVC and Agile development methodology , and proven ability to lead small / mid-sized project development teams.

Key role

    To lead or assist teams in the design, development, programming, deployment, project documentations, and other tasks for various client projects.
    To lead teams or work individually to develop various web applications including but not limited to HTML, PHP/MYSQL , CMS, ERP , Open Source etc
    To provide second level support for basic client ICT issues including desktop maintenance, troubleshooting on various IT service infrastructure management and basic software troubleshooting.
    To research, learn and use technology including Open-Source solutions and Online communities (including Joomla, drupal, wordpress) ,
    To work with the development team on various mobile application products .
    Security , Quality assurance and Testing using Web Standards .
    And much more.

Key Requirement

    A passion for IT
    Not less than 10 previous web sites / Web Applications deployed/developed in the past 2 years .
    Vast experience in Web Application Development is required : (PHP / MySQL)
    Ability to manage small project teams / previous Project Management skills is required.
    Vast experience in use of various Open Source tools. (Zend, Drupal, Mootools)
    Basic knowledge in use of Linux Servers .
    Must have basic knowledge of Adobe Suite including Dreamweaver, Firework or other web development tools.
    Basic knowledge of Design tools (Corel Draw, Photoshop, Fireworks) or Adobe Flash would be an added advantage.
    Basic knowledge of Javascript and Javascript frameworks such as jQuery
    Must be very “Tech-Savvy” and know a little bit about anything IT
    Ability to learn new skills fast
    Previous knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio would be an added advantage.
    IT Certification is not required but is added advantage
    Applicant must be able to present previous projects done at Interview .

Education Qualification

    Minimum of an OND, HND, BSc or their equivalent from any reputable higher Institution.
    Minimum of 3 years (maximum of 10 years) of experience in a Web Development field or related industry (‘Informal’ or freelance experience may suffice).
    Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age as at December 2011

In addition to great skills in project management , The ideal candidate must posses excellent writing and strong presentation skills. The candidate must have a  minimum of 2years experience in either core ICT or media related roles .

Key Roles

    Oversee web projects from concept to execution
    Responsible as the content strategist for the research, engagement strategy and execution of  web and/or social media campaigns and the related day-to-day account activities
    As Content Strategist leads content projects and programs, interfacing with multiple business stakeholders in order to develop effective content related user experiences
    Gather and gain information from multiple stakeholders on business requirements, Document business requirements and user experience for website projects:
    Create and Manage standardized processes for  creation of content wireframes, visuals , development , implementation , deployment, user acceptance testing, quality assurance etc for new or enhanced products or customer applications and so on .
    Effectively manage multiple website projects under supervision of senior management.
    Cultivate, manage and maintain relationships with appropriate social media influencers that are important voices in our client’s online conversation spaces.
    Provide strategic counsel to clients on the larger impact and day-to-day tactics of social media.
    Oversee development and execution of social media campaigns, complex content migrations and associated projects.
    Conduct discovery including interviews, content audits, and analyses
    Will also be a key player in processing information regarding some ICT related projects all over Nigeria.

Requirements /  Qualifications:

    Excellent writing skills and Strong presentation skills;
    Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multi-tasking and desire to be a team player
    A key requirement is to gain a solid understanding of business strategies and maintain intelligence on Clients and application of technology to give then competitive advantage.
    Degree in related field, or significant professional training and equivalent experience
    Familiarity with Web technologies and Development methodologies .
    Stays abreast of economic/political trends in the Nigeria and around the world and build a relationship between happenings and advanced or emerging technologies to build suitable campaign/promo within scope of this function
    Substantial experience (3+ years) developing strategy, creating interactive content, and writing and editing for digital media
    Self-motivated, organized, and functions well without externally imposed structure
    Ability to apply user-centered design methods to translate user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints into an engaging user
    Ability to effectively communicate and persuasively convey design solutions
    Ability to understand a projects technical details (e.g. call flow, billing, provisioning, operations, etc.) and uncover and assess projects risks
    Excellent problem solving skills, self-motivation, leadership, and team orientation
    Proven ability to negotiate and motivate others
    Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management

 Education Qualification
