JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and execute proactive communications programs that support channel initiatives and other customer-focused sales initiatives
  • Develop and implement core business support functions in terms of IT applications, administrative processes and project management to optimise trade marketing and trade engagement activities
  • Coordinate Engine Room activities, Trade activations and Regional sponsorships (e.g Festivals and concerts) in HQ
  • Work with Channel and Marketing Teams to prepare monthly sales briefs for the Field Force and implement trade marketing & distribution scorecards to assist tracking and feedback of objectives, strategies and operational plans
  • Provide support for resource and project management of key trade marketing & distribution projects
  • Manage third party activation and POS agencies
  • Work with external agencies and field staff in the area of creative development and production of trade communication materials.
  • Drive the planning and execution of new product/service and brand communication launches in the trade.
  • Manage the trade support budget, ensuring a good balance of quality and costs
  • Evaluate Field Force performance against brand communication objectives across the following channels:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • First degree in any relevant discipline
  • 8 years experience spanning Advertising Agency (optional), Trade Marketing and Sales experience (proven Business Manager experience with a key customer is a must)
  • 2yrs experience at a supervisory/managerial level
  • Strong and proven understanding of working with third party organizations and coordination of solution-related activities.
  • Experience in Customer Marketing, and Category Management would be an advantage
  • Must have the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact based solutions/recommendations

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Articulate understanding of target market needs and assist in developing relationship initiatives accordingly
  • Monitor and manage existing products in the Consumer portfolio on an ongoing basis.
  • Support project management in the product development lifecycle of new MTNN products
  • Design, facilitate and conduct customer surveys and produce value-adding reports for informed decision-making
  • Keep abreast of new telecoms marketing products, services and customer loyalty initiatives developed by competitors and other operators and recommend on appropriate actions to be taken
  • Implement product development policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate quality assurance of developed products and services to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Ensure new products designs are line with segment strategy and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing products performance on an on-going basis.
  • Develop a mechanism for proactively identifying new product related queries.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of identified product related issues.
  • Provide information packs and FAQs to guide the deployment and use of new products and services.
  • Provide resources for UAT and FUTs
  • Review UAT plans
  • Ensure sign off of product specifications and UAT reports.
  • Drive and participate actively in FUTs
  • Liaise with technical teams on customer care and billing applications.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the Product Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • First degree in Marketing or any other Social Science discipline
  • 4 years work experience which includes:
  • Marketing Communications
  • Product Development
  • Demonstrated experience in primary and/or secondary research
  • Project Management experience.
