POSITION : Quantity Surveyor
Description
Responsible for managing all costs relating to the company's projects - from initial estimates to final acquisition of materials.
Focus is on providing value for money while adhering to the strict regulations in construction.
Responsibilities
- Operational/Tech/Professional Results
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Works, Specifications, regulations and policies
- Prepare preliminary estimates, cost plans,enable costs to be accurately advised to clients
- Prepare reports with recommendations for both new and ongoing projects to the Executive Management team.
- Monitor the quantity and usage of materials on all project sites
- Innovation
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks, value management & cost control methods
- Develop innovative methods of avoiding gluts on respective project sites
- Relationship
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the project team i.e. architect, construction manager, engineers etc.
- Liaise with specialist suppliers, contractors and component manufacturers to ensure best prices of materials are obtained for competitive tendering
Key Performance Indicators:
Education and Work Experience
- A First degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience (with 3 years in a Real Estate company)
- Candidate must be a registered Quantity Surveyor
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office(Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Vision)
