POSITION : Payroll Officer
Responsibilities
- Calculate employee bonuses and allowances.
- Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software.
- Report on payroll expenses periodically.
- Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations.
- Input new employees; data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases.
- Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline from a recognized institution of learning.
- Proven experience as a payroll officer.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and other accounting software.
- Excellent numeracy skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- In depth knowledge of the Nigerian labour legislations.
