(1) Job Title: Cost and schedule engineer

Job description
-Roles (Basic Function and Scope)
-Assist project teams by developing and maintaining project monitoring and reporting systems aiding the effectiveness of the management of projects.
Responsibilities (Duties Performed)
During the initial definition phase/funding phase of the project, the engineer will:
-Document the project teams/project engineers execution plans in the project schedule.
-Consolidate, and document the project estimate at each project gate.
-Assist in the development of the project funding plan and funding package.
-Develop the Estimate Confidence Package (Schedule)
-Document the control plans for the project
-Assist team in documenting the organization plan for the project
-Develop expenditure forecast consistent with project team plans.
-Assist team in appraising the overall performance of the project with respect to cost and schedule
During the execution phase of the project, the engineer will:
-Update status on the project schedule, and ensure the project teams/ project engineers execution plans are reflected in the remaining activities of the project schedule. Assist team in identifying and implementing recovery plan actions.
-Ensure compliance with approved control plans for projects
-Assist team in documenting the project management organization for comparison against plan.
-Maintain forecast of expenditure forecasts consistent with project team plans and monitor against previous forecasts.
-Assist team in appraising the overall performance of the project with respect to cost and schedule
-Assist team in monitoring AFE status and preparing supplements as required.
-Assist team in developing project closeout documentation.
Job requirements
-B.Sc. in Engineering with strengths in the areas of Project management, and production facilities.
-7 years varied engineering experience.
-Fluency in English.
-Familiar with the use of Microsoft Project and Primavera software

(2) Job Title: Planning Engineers
Location: Nigeria
Job description
Roles (Basic Function and Scope)
-Mentors and guides C&S engineers to provide support to all project management teams.
-Assists C&S engineers in their planning and performance of discipline-associated tasks to enable projects to be executed aligned with Projects group priorities and consistent with the EMCAPS framework.
-Reviews, endorses, and provides input into proposed refinements / changes and updates to cost and schedule, contracting and reporting tools used in the Projects Department. In some cases, will lead the updates.
-Ensures continuous improvements in project control procedures.
-Encourages C&S Engineers to maintain continual interface with external departments, especially Development Planning, Facilities Engineering, and Procurement.
-Mentors and Assist project teams by developing and maintaining project monitoring and reporting systems aiding the effectiveness of the management of projects.
-Provides assistance/training to Project Engineers in utilization of project controls tools in executing smaller projects and assists in the development and maintenance Project Control tools, procedures and historical data.
-Assist in the development of Projects Department Plans and Budgets ( P&B), and JV Capital Budgets.
Responsibilities (Duties Performed)
-During the initial definition phase/funding phase of the project, the advisor will support cost and schedule engineers.
-During the execution phase of the project, the advisor will support Cost and Schedule engineers.
-Assist team in developing project closeout documentation.
-Compiles historical cost and schedule data for potential updates to estimating, cost monitoring and forecasting, and planning tools.
-Assists with developing Projects Groups Plans & Budget (P&B) and JV Budget Submissions.
-Develops/updates Technical Committee (TECOM) project expenditure and budget data for reviews with NAPIMS for Projects Department
-Reviews project deliverables for consistency with EMCAPS Guidelines and advises project teams / project engineers on potential upgrades.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements/Education
-B.Sc. in any Engineering Discipline or Accounting
-10 years varied experience.
-Fluency in English.

-Must participate in drug and alcohol testing and background check as required
-Comply with Malaria prophylaxis requirements
-Fluency in written and spoken English.
-Work in a diverse multi-cultural environment
-Frequent contacts with Project Managers and other members of their teams.
-Regular contact with the Facilities Design, Reservoir, SHE, and Operations groups to provide input to the project management strategy.
-Frequent contacts with consultants/contractors to procure and monitor services.
-Continually update status and progress to MPN Projects Manager.
