Job Title: Database Administration and Critical Infrastructure, Lead
Location
: Lagos
Job Objective

  • To manage the Bank’s database to ensure optimal uptime and system integrity which delivers support to the business strategy of the Bank that is achieved through Information Technology.
  • The Job Profile indicates that the job holder should be capable of collecting information and imparting it to others.
  • The job occupant whilst being adaptable by nature will need to ensure strict conformity with rules, systems and protocol. The area of work is likely to have some administrative, specialist or technical aspects and the person fulfilling the role should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion.
  • The incumbent should be dependable, loyal, a good listener and enjoy working in a logical and systematic manner. Standard operating procedures are important aspects of this role and as such, it will require an individual who is organized, structured, self-controlled and capable of communicating facts within the required area of knowledge and expertise.

Job Function

  • Ensure 100% availability and effective usability of the database by end users concurrently.
  • Responsible for non-corruption, performance, integrity and the security of the database.
  • Ensure strict compliance to Back-up and recovery procedure to ensure data is available at all times.
  • Deliver adequate support to application development teams on server/storage requirements.
  • Make recommendations and carry out necessary tests when there is need to commission/ install new applications as well as customizing/tuning existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose.

Requirements/Educational Qualification

  • First Degree in Numerate/ Physical Science or Engineering.

Experience:

  • 5+ years cognate experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL database administration.
  • Storage Infrastructure Administration.

Job Title: Team Lead, Business Engagement Management
Location
: Lagos
Job Objective

  • To oversee and direct the process of delivering projects /business requests, as well as provisioning and testing of IT related business products and services, including administering the framework for effective root cause analysis.

Job Function

  • Ensure the effective examination of released solutions under controlled conditions and ensure the elimination of sub-optimal performance by ensuring only solutions that have passed the set quality assurance standards are released into production.
  • Act as a first line of support for testing, by planning and coordinating team of testers and activities across all modules, while using defined QA process.
  • Develop and maintain an up to date framework for conducting RCA for all major IT service failure.
  • Articulate and recommend improvement opportunities based on RCA conducted.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and manage their expectations.
  • Work with SBU/BRR to prioritize business requests and portfolio being managed by IT Group.
  • Ensure a proper quality assurance process is in place, as well as maintain strict compliance with it.

  • Perform the duties of a Tester aside from coordination; testing application to ensure it is working as specified, including use of test cases or on an ad-hoc basis, reports defects and other issues found during testing in the defect tracking system.
  • Provide bi-weekly status reports on all QA activities.

Job Title: Project Manager Network Security
Location:

Job Description

  • Project Manager Network Security is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of effective systems security solutions.
  • The successful candidate in collaboration with the Information Technology Services (ITS) Systems Support team, will also monitor, assess, and fine-tune the IT business continuity and disaster recovery program, perform network penetration tests, application vulnerability assessment scans and risk audit reviews.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve identified systems security breaches, create comprehensive maintenance of information security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures and monitor for compliance in line with the organization’s IT security policy and applicable laws.
  • Monitor and advice on information security issues related to the systems and workflow to ensure the internal security controls are appropriate and operating as intended.
  • Conduct data classification assessment and security audits and manage remediation plans.
  • Collaborate with IT management, the legal department, and other stakeholders to manage security vulnerabilities.
  • Perform the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise’s security documents specifically.
  • Create, manage and maintain user security awareness.
  • Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues.

Job Title: IT Project Accountant
Location:

Duration: 6 months

Job Descriptions

  • This position is fully responsible for the project billing process; which includes being accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments collected.
  • Successful candidates will also be responsible for responding to client inquiries, verifying employee’s chargeable time; in accordance with the established accounting standards and billing policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) and Principals-in-Charge (PIC), regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.
  • Maintain the billing folders for all projects, with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, consultant invoices, and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Report on project profitability to management, report to management on any opportunities for additional billings and also regarding the remaining funding available for projects.
  • Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers
  • Prepare final invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Accounting Supervisor.
  • Mail final invoices, file consultant and client invoice copies in the billing folder.
  • Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing; communicate with the Accounting Supervisor, as to your observations and actions taken.
  • Work with the cash receipts team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash.
  • Generate and distribute bi-monthly receivables reports and monthly profitability reports.
  • Review weekly time sheets, along with the accounting group.
  • Analyse the P & L accounts monthly, as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconcilements, as directed by the Accounting Supervisor.
  • Recommend and implement agreed process improvements to the billing cycle.
  • Prepare special project analyses for the PICs, PMs and others.
  • Provide year-end support of auditor requirements, which may include research and reconcilement.
  • Perform additional assignments, as directed by the Accounting Supervisor.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the local offices. Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows based operating systems and web based applications.
  • A thorough knowledge of standard contract terms and how they are applied in the billing process.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
  • Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, and report problems to the Accounting Services Manager, as necessary.
