Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun

Job Description

  • The company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager, based in Abeokuta, Nigeria to join the company in this exciting phase of its growth to build the first of its kind fruit processing company in Nigeria.

Job Summary

  • The Maintenance Manager shall be responsible for administering and coordinating facility management activities company wide.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all facilities are fully operational with all utilities functioning properly and proper security measures in place company wide
  • Submit report analysis of facility repairs, maintenance, incidents, downtime, power, Facility and Administrative OPEX
  • Forecast upcoming needs and requirements of the facility companywide
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of utilities consumption & energy management within budget companywide
  • Plan & coordinate renovations, refurbishments, building projects, installations and office relocation
  • Ensure that facilities meet government regulations/compliance standards and environmental, health and safety standards companywide
  • Develop and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures affecting facilities and office administration
  • Coordinate scheduling and supervision of maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment
  • Oversee the documentation of all facilities and government regulations are renewed, available, filed and monitored companywide
  • Supervise the follow up of payments and approvals needed for carrying out repairs, maintenance and sundries.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on unit activities
  • Coordinate proactive maintenance and deal with emergencies as they arise
  • Ensure & coordinate the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Prepare documents to be used for tenders for contractors
  • Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as required
  • Project manage, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors/vendors
  • Oversee general office administration and administration of departmental database
  • Preparing correspondence, documentation, or presentation materials
  • Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of office equipment and inventory supplies as needed.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree, HND or OND in any related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills.
  • An open, flexible and innovative working style.
  • Must be able to work under tight schedules and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Strong critical & analytical thinking
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proactive with a forward-thinking attitude
  • Ability to work well with others and manage a team that are not within the same vicinity
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
