Total Upstream is recruiting for the following position:

Job Title: BACK OFFICE ENGINEER I
Recruiter: Maventeq Systems Limited

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Installing and configuring monitoring application upgrades when available.
2.    Training front-office Engineers on the use of  new network monitoring applications if any
3.     Performing backup and recovery of monitoring application database.
4.    Troubleshooting alarms to ensure preventive actions are taken to reduce incidents
5.    Network supervision, monitoring and control
6.    Maintains inventory documentations for IST devices, addition of installed or replaced equipment to the monitoring tools as required
7.    Local area network and Wide area network experience.
8.     Monitoring and managing Service Provider’s links using Spectrum one-click console, PRTG and OPmanager and logging of the incidences. 
9.     Measuring Service Provider’s adherence to Service Level Agreements by generating availability reports on Service provider’s Links on weekly and monthly basis.
10.    Generating Special Reports as required by the Management

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:


1.    B.Sc. or HND qualification in computing or engineering
2.    Minimum 8 years work experience in relevant hardware maintenance
3.    Have a good understanding of computer network
4.    Good Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Vista and XP operating systems
5.    Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 suites (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook Client
6.    Good Knowledge of Flexnet License Manager (and other application license management tools)
7.    Knowledge of Oracle (9i and above), SQL (2005 and above), .Net & Java is an added advantage
8.    Able to maintain permanence in the Supervision Centre
9.    Meticulous in following-up incidents
10.    Able to prepare and deliver reports timely
