Job Title: Category Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Reporting To: Senior Manager Procurement

Job Description:

  • Support the Procurement Transformation project and fully embed eSourcing
  • Coach, and develop the IS Procurement category team by enhancing local Procurement capability in all aspects of best-in-class Procurement skills – Strategy development and execution, Industry, Economic, and Supplier analysis
  • Deliver best value for MTNN while driving stretch savings targets
  • Prepare and handle presentations to Executive managementImplement key projects through effective project management, utilizing appropriate eSourcing tools to maximize speed, efficiency and drive benefits e.g. e-RFI’s e-RFP’s, e-auctions, spend analysis.
  • Manage IS and Network Group and local management to deliver a target Customer Satisfaction score
  • Handle multiple priorities from IS and Network Group project managers
  • Manage multiple supplier OEM relationships


Job Conditions:

  • Normal MTNN working conditions May be required to work extended hours Open Plan Office


Required Skills:

  • 4 years' work experience including:
  • Minimum of 2 years in purchasing function
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to prepare clear and professional presentations or reports for utilisation at senior levels within MTNN and the supply base
  • Able to deal with ambiguity, and manage multiple relationships, with an ability to take criticism and learn from feedback
  • Strong IT skills base, including intermediate proficiency in Office applications.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, both verbal and written with ability to readily engage and influence a range of colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Analytical, numerate, enthusiastic, tenacious. Sound commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to the wider business process outside immediate Functional responsibilities


Qualification:

  • Minimum of a First degree. 
  • Possession of a post graduate qualification certification will be an advantage
