Responsibilities
- The Finance operations officer will be responsible for support in all financial management. He /She would maintain detailed and up-to-date records properly analyzed, submitted and circulated on a timely basis.
- He would also ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Assisting and advising accounting officers in the preparation of budgets, collection of revenue, processing and control of expenditure
- Preparation of financial reports and efficient implementation of policies and programmes
- Ensure that financial resources are mobilised and judiciously utilized in the most economical efficient, effective and transparent manner
- Ensures adequate controls and monitoring over cash, allocation procedures, and capital assets
- Providing operational support in the development of new business initiatives and products
- Reviewing and developing corporate business processes and systems supported by Financial Operations
- Works with Project Implementation teams to track and analyze project activities and progress, ensuring there are adequate procedures in place for identifying the financial impact of changes in proposed activities and for revising approved budgets
- Other ad hoc tax projects as assigned
Requirements
- BSc in accounting, finance, economics or a related field (Masters is an added advantage)
- CPA, ICAN or ACCA qualification required
- Minimum of 5 years of finance experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative
- Team oriented and performance driven
- MS office proficiency
