Astoria Caterers Limited, a leading and fast growing bakery situated in Lagos, requires suitable qualified personnel to fill the vacant positions below for immediate employment:
Job Title: Human Resource Personnel
Job Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Work closely with departments and assists line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
- Liaise with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety
- Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates;
- Develop and implements policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
- Prepare Staff Handbooks
- Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits;
- Administer payroll and maintaining employee records;
- Deals with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures;
- Plans and delivers induction for new staff;
- Analyses training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in English
- Able to work under minimal job supervision
- Must be computer literate
- Able to communicate verbally, understand and follow written /verbal instructions
- Cognate experience of about 2-3 years in Human Resource
- Must be a resident of Lagos.
- Minimum of HND in Human Resource and related fields; higher qualification will be of advantage.
