We are looking for strongly motivated qualified Engineers to make a major contribution to our Service team, based in Nigeria with a reach to North & Western Africa (NWA).

Job description

  • The HSE Supervisor will be in charge of the site HSE duties.
  • The job is located in Afam- Nigeria;


Responsibilities

  • Ensure that site HSE rules are followed by firm's Sub-Contractor’s personnel.
  • Liaise with customer and external bodies in matters of HSE.
  • Provide support and advice to site personnel so as to prevent injury to personnel and or damage to plant, equipment and environment.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable rules and regulations and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance.
  • Co-ordinate activities with the team in respect to EHS requirements.
  • Co-ordinate activities of Sub-contractors with respect to EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operational areas of the plant.
  • Co-ordinate the review and approval of EHS Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure that accidents/incidents are recorded, investigated and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
  • Ensure that accidents/incidents are reported to the Home Base according to specified Rules.
  • Prepare and submit required EHS reports


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • B.SC or HND in Technical or Pure Sciences from a reputable university
  • Health and Safety Certification from a reputable Organization e.g. NEBOSH.
  • A minimum of 3 years post NYSC experience in HSE activities in Power Stations or similar industrial plants
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Confident, Responsible, dependable with high ethical standards
  • Strong drive and determination.
  • Ability to set priorities and act in a target-oriented manner
